Deborah Kagan, Esq

Deborah Kagan joined The Kurta Law Firm as an associate attorney in August 2023.

Deborah earned her B.A. in Psychology and Communication, graduating cum laude from the University of California, Davis. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 2022. Deborah is licensed to practice law in California.

With a passion for family law, Deborah began her legal career during her second year of law school. She was drawn to this area of practice because it allows her to provide compassionate, empathetic support to individuals during some of the most challenging times in their lives. After passing the California Bar, Deborah focused her work on public service, primarily representing clients in domestic violence restraining order cases. She has a deep understanding of the complexities of the legal process and the critical importance of advocacy during difficult times.

A proud Bay Area native, Deborah grew up in San Francisco. Outside of her practice, she enjoys staying active, working out, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her dog, Ava.
